Inadequate dialysis develops gradually, and it is often felt as a slow decline rather than a single event.
What to know
- Persistent fatigue that does not lift on non-dialysis days.
- Poor appetite, nausea, or a metallic taste.
- Itching, restless legs, or difficulty concentrating.
- Rising pre-dialysis potassium or phosphate on your monthly bloods.
- Report these together with your session log rather than waiting for the next routine review.
