Regular observations are how you catch a blood pressure drop before it becomes a collapse.
What to know
- Blood pressure and pulse before starting, then at the intervals your care team specifies — commonly every 30 minutes.
- Record temperature if you feel unwell or shivery at any point.
- Watch for symptoms between readings: dizziness, nausea, yawning, cramping or feeling suddenly cold.
- Write readings down as you take them; do not rely on memory to reconstruct the session afterwards.
Talk to your care team

Trivita's dialysis nurses answer our care line 24 hours a day on 055 242 1070, including for people who are not yet our patients.
