What to know
- Clinical examination at every review: thrill, bruit, arm swelling, aneurysm and skin integrity.
- Trends in venous pressure and achieved blood flow are early technical warnings.
- Ultrasound or angiography when surveillance suggests a problem.
- Angioplasty performed early is a routine day procedure; a late presentation is not.
